What Is a Moon Hippie?

People sometimes ask what "Moon Hippie" means.

The truth is that it's my own little made-up thing. A name for the way I move through the world and the things that matter most to me.

To me, being a Moon Hippie is about embracing a peaceful, cozy, nature-loving life centered around kindness, creativity, comfort, and finding beauty in ordinary moments.

It's moonlight and music. Books stacked beside a favorite chair. Wildflowers growing where they please. Fairy lights glowing softly in the evening. Dogs sleeping nearby while the world slows down.

It's appreciating the small things that make life feel special.

It's caring more about being genuine than being trendy. More porch swing than party. More stargazing than nightlife.

It's choosing softness when possible, wonder when available, and gratitude for the little moments that turn an ordinary day into a meaningful one.

If a cottage, a moonbeam, a stack of well-loved books, a couple of Boston terriers, and a warm cup of tea somehow became a personality, that would probably be my version of a Moon Hippie.
